I absolutely loved Trading Eggs. My daughter used it when she was six, and still learning to read. We tried several other similar programs, but this one was the one that actually produced results. Other games were more of an entertaining game with some ABCs. My daughter was practicing letters, sounds, and words, and making real progress. This is the only “reading game” I recommend to my friends.

My children both love Reading Eggs! This is the only program that I have been able to find that isn’t too flashy and actually focuses on concepts that help children learn to read. I have also noticed that other programs tend to have European voices which pronounce words differently than in the US, this can be confusing when trying to sound things out. Reading Eggs seems to be more universal in that regard.
