Founded in Northwest Arkansas in 1919, JBU serves over 2,800 students from 40 nations and 42 states. JBU seeks to provide Christ-centered education that prepares people to honor God and serve others by developing their intellectual, spiritual, and professional lives. Students to live purposeful lives both during and after college. We share a common, sincere commitment to Christ and to the essential truths of the Christian faith and we seek to integrate our faith with learning, work, and life in authentic ways that transform us and our world.
Undergraduate students at JBU choose from 40 different majors, including biology, pre-nursing, music, graphic design, international business, and construction management. Students work to meet the needs they see in their community and the world through inter-university competitions, new business plans, student development programs, social justice organizations, medical missions, and more.
JBU is ranked first in the Southern Region and a Best Value by U.S.News and World Report. In the past six years, JBU has raised over $118 million to build state-of-the-art facilities for students’ academic needs. JBU depends on dedicated gifts from donors, not tuition dollars, to build or remodel facilities. Over 68% of JBU facilities are new or have been renovated since 2000. Over $114 million in scholarships were awarded for the 2014-2015 school year.
