Tapestry of Grace is a plan of study that helps parents provide a Christian, classical education using a guided unit study approach, with the history of the world as the core organizational theme. Students begin in kindergarten, and go through the history cycle every four years. All students will study the same period of history at the same time, learning at their own level. Year 1 covers Ancient history, year 2 medieval history through the American revolution, year 3 covers the 1800s, and year 4 starts in the 1900s and ends with current events. Each year covers 36 weeks of history, writing, geography, literature, church history, government, philosophy, and arts. Spelling, grammar, handwriting, science, and math will need to be chosen and assigned separately.

While I loved Tapestry of Grace, I was overwhelmed by just how much stuff there was to pick from.
We were able to borrow most of the books needed through our local library and inter-library loans. I only purchased books that we would be using 4+ weeks, which really helped with our curriculum budget.
I think that it would work well if you’re very decisive about what you want to use and what you want to shop, but I was not.
There is also a significant amount of prep you’ll need to do- it is not open and go.

Despite all this, I’ll still give it 4 stars because it is a great program!
