Overview

The italic handwriting style is designed to make a smooth transition from manuscript to cursive handwriting. Both cursive and manuscript letters are formed the same way, but cursive letters join together. Books A and B teach letter formation, lower case, and upper case letters in manuscript. Book C moves students into cursive handwriting. Beginning with Book C, each level includes a letter review and use content-area information, tongue twisters, and Greek and Latin words while practicing handwriting. Book G introduces calligraphy. An instructor’s manual, desk strips, and practice blackline masters are also available.
