Horizons Physical Education offers an approach to P.E at four different levels: PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The book is written for the teacher, and includes goals and outcomes, teaching methods, developmental stages, lesson plans, and instructions. The PreK-2 book includes information on fitness, control skills, creative movement, and dance. Grade 3-5 continues some of these skills, while also moving into team sport skills, rules, and teamwork. Grades 6-8 focuses on team and recreational sports, athletics, and cooperative games. Grade 9-12 continues team sports and athletics, health fitness, and cooperative games. Some activities would be more appropriate for a co-op setting.
