Abeka K4 is made up of a student kit in either cursive or manuscript and and parent kit. The essential parent kit includes just the necessary materials, while the more expensive complete kit includes a number of additional materials. Students learn phonics through carefully sequenced activities, then begin reading little books. Handwriting is taught either as manuscript or cursive first, depending on the parent’s preference. Formation of numbers is learned through 20, with counting up to 100.
